About a dozen years after Bill bought his first quilt, he gained an appreciation for newer quilts after seeing The Quilts of Gee’s Bend at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Since then, Bill has collected a number of amazing examples from a variety of periods, and he has a strong collection of 1970s quilts. He lectures frequently about his quilts and exhibits them when possible.
